Education Program
During the reporting year, the NGO supported children's education by distributing essential educational materials in different locations. Distribution of school bags, water bottols, bicyles, ceiling fans, water tanks, stiching machines etc. in Kanpur, Sical, Singrauli areas. The program benefited students from underserved communities.
Handicraft Training
Handicraft Training: Have provided training in Bamboo and Hand Embroidery to many artisans to upgrade their skill to fulfill the demand of modern market. The Society has organized a Training Programme for the young literate and unemployed people for their lively hood; like making handicraft items and sales thereof in the local market, hat etc.
Vermi Compost
Vermi Compost: Vermi compost is a valuable input for sustainable agriculture and wasteland development. This also can be used widely in pot culture and in home gardens. We conducted various training and demonstrations for adoption of vermi compost as manure for sustainable agriculture. Several farmers are successfully using vermi-compost to improve the production and quality.
Medicinal and Aromatic plants
Medicinal and Aromatic plants: Medicinal Plants are plants which have a recognized medical use. The Medicinal & Aromatic Plants for health are used as herbal treatments and therapies that can be new habits for culture. The herbal medicine can give good effect to body without causing side effects to humans. We have organized training and encouraged farmers for commercial cultivation of the same.
Tribal Development
Tribal Development: The development of the scheduled tribes is a social responsibility. Tribal people should develop along the lines of their own genus and we should avoid imposing anything on them. We should try to encourage in every way their own traditional arts and culture & try to train and build up a team of their own people to do the work of administration and development.
Seminar, Symposium and meetings
Seminar, Symposium and meetings: We organize events and involve a cross section of the society, village leaders and youth office bearers of the village institutions to develop relationship, co-operation, collaboration, communication and linkages.
Consumer protection
Consumer protection: Consumer affairs camps were held, protection and ways and means to protect from exploitation from the vested interest groups. Organization is imparting knowledge to and developing skills in consumers regarding consumer rights, consumer laws, product quality- standards, health aspects of various products, availabilities of various public and private services, units and measurements, redressal of consumer problems and making correct choices while buying different commodities.
Human Right promotion
Human Right promotion: The programme promotes non-violence, healthy communication skills, conflict resolution and human rights. It also emphasizes the importance of tolerance and good citizenship. The project trains children and young people in non-violence, healthy communication skills and conflict resolution, including the promotion of peer mediation techniques.
Environment preservation, protection, conservation and Water Preservation Programme
Environment preservation, protection, conservation and Water Preservation Programme: Awareness camps were held organized how to protect and preserve the nature by undertaking environment friendly actions and activities. We have started a campaign to preserve water for irrigation and drinking both in the rural and urban areas. Resource Mobilization
Resource Mobilization: Have trained people to start small savings, deposits in the bank and established bank linkages for credit and finances. We have also supported for securing subsidy and grants under different government schemes.
Village and small industries
Village and small industries: Have provided skill training and supported to establish micro units of food processing, automobile repair and maintenance shops, processing of food, vegetables and fruits units.
Indian System of Treatment
Indian System of Treatment: We have educated, motivated and supported persons for adoption of the treatment with the help of Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathic systems of treatment.
Health & Sanitation services
Health & Sanitation services: We have organized health camps on primary health, family planning, family welfare, nutrition and hygiene improvement, HIV, AIDS, immunization and pulse polio, general treatment of the poorest people in villages.
Animal Husbandry
Animal Husbandry: we provide training, resources and support services for poultry, dairy, piggeries etc. to BPL families for increasing their employment and income.
Agriculture & Horticulture
Agriculture & Horticulture: We are promoting commercial cropping of potato, ginger and high value rice and other grain crops involving various farmers’ family.
Leadership Development and Training of workers and functionaries
Leadership Development and Training of workers and functionaries: Have conducted leadership camps for the youth participants. We involve village level development workers, rural managers have been trained in different processes and steps of development.
Peoples participation
Peoples participation: For active participation of the people in the different developmental activities of the government, private agencies and self efforts of the people, we have formed and strengthened SHGs, CBOs, Women Clubs and Youth Club involving communities
Women Empowerment
Women Empowerment: We have to create an environment where women demand knowledge and information, empowering themselves to change their lives. Spread the message that education of women is a pre-condition for fighting against their oppression. Highlight the plight of the girl child and stress the need for Universalisation of education as a way of addressing the issue. We also work on gender sensitive development and have educated, motivated and supported numbers of women to alleviate their poverty through their self efforts and taking part in the activities of the District Development Agency.
Educational programme
Educational programme: We have established a school at Diwakar Shiksha Niketan, at Enarabaran, Distt. Banka (Bihar) and Ranchi district for the out of school children, child labour and marginalized children. Apart from this organization is running number of primary education non formal and remedial centers in different villages for community children.
Vocational Training & skill Upgradation
Vocational Training & skill Upgradation: We provide job oriented Vocational training on full/part time basis in several areas such as Computer, Electrical technicians, Knitting/Embroidery & Tailoring, Beautician, Mobile Repairing, AC Repairing, etc. We also impart new skills and upgrade the traditional skills in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, village craft, etc.
Human Resource Development
Human Resource Development: An intensive programme has been taken for creation of awareness, increased awareness and developing knowledge of men and women. We have organized specific training for the deprived people.
